My inspiration this week is actually from the CSI project
A dish, candle stick holder, and spray paint! Beautiful!
I went to my nearby Dollar Tree and purchased 3 candle stick holders and 3 glass vases. After cleaning, scrubbing, and primering the candle stick holders, I spray painted them with Ivory by Rustolium. After they dried I rubbed on Dark Brown stencil paintcreme to make them look antique. A little bit of glue later, here they are...
I probably won't leave them in my bathroom (haven't even started renovating or decorating in there), but that is their home for now :) I have seen candles, nests, pine cones, flowers, shells, cupcakes, fruit, etc displayed in these...so they may be floating around my house depending on the holiday.
Total Cost = $6
Thank you to Ginger from Appleseed Gifts for featuring my Dollar Store Apothecary!!! Go check out her blog and say hi! Make sure to tell her I sent you :)
